Does Your Doodle(s) Collect Things?

Blake has been collecting items on our walks since I first adopted him last year....If he isn't carrying one of his beloved balls in his mouth for the entire walk, he will always pick up something along the way to bring home. His favorite things to collect are pinecones, ( they must be pristine...lol), acorns (they too are always perfect), horse chestnuts and rocks...He has a fondness for the ones that are perfectly smooth and round or egg shaped...lol.....

When he brings his treasures home, he doesn't try to eat them, he simply plays with them. In fact he will actually pull up my area rug and expose the wood floor and then bat the object around on the wood floor with his paws like a cat....I swear! It's as if he likes the sound they make!..Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else has a doodle or doodles that display this odd but very cute behavior?....Below is a picture of Blake's collection.

That is hysterical :) So far Bear has not collected anything........but he does love his lamb's wool material animals with all of the stuffing taken out.............LOL

This cracks me up. I am glad to hear that someone else has a collector. My Steve is obsessed with balls of all kinds and has amassed quite a collection on our walks. Invariably he will stick his head in the bushes and come out with a baseball, softball, wuffle ball, golf ball, or of course a tennis ball. Sometimes I don't even realize he has picked up a ball until we get home and he always drops them on the porch before we go inside. One time he found a tennis ball that looked like it had been burned close to our neighbors house. Later my neighbor confessed that during his bachelor party they had lit tennis balls on fire with gasoline and used a slingshot to shoot the flaming tennis balls into the street. Who would think of such a thing?

So funny and cute! Tia never keeps anything long enough to collect them. She is Dr. Destructo when it comes to toys.

That is awesome lol.. Not but my doodles wil go into the woods and get sticks.. then I will come back and will gnaw them into little chunks all over the floor..and leave suprises for us..
