Leather Lead Recommendation?

Sorry if this has been covered, but the search is on the fritz.

I am considering a leather lead leash.  What should I be looking for?  Length, rolled or flat, anything else?  I have a large GD.

So just by way of follow up, I settled on a very nice leash from Weaver Leather, an Ontario Canada company (I try to shop local). I picked it up on sale at the TSC store for a song ($18). It is a single piece of harness leather with a dear skin lining in the handle and a nice brass swivel. Just gorgeous.

I guess this is an old topic..I did a leather lead search and it came up the other day.  I ended up ordering one from leerburg.com and had to come back and brag about how much I love it!  It's soft right out of the package.  I've owned a few over the years but this is probably my favorite.  I ordered the black 1/2 width size.
