Has anyone used the back seat covers that hook to the headrest on the front seat? They actually make a hammock. I am wondering if anyone's dogs try to step on the portion that slants up toward the front seat. My fear is that without anything solid under their feet they will become very fearful and no longer will see the car as a positive experience. Help, before I buy this. Thanks

The woman who adopted Sweetie has one of these in her vehicle. She loves the hammock style, her older doodle loves it, and it protects the leather seats.

This is the only one I have ever seen, but she gave it a two thumbs up.

I put some pictures into your discussion so others who may be interested can see what you are talking about. I had never seen one until recently.  Interesting.

Thank you Joanne, I was using my iPad and don't think there is a way to upload pictures except through email..... but that is another class I have to take.

The first picture looks more flat

And the second looks like that curve you think may be a problem.

Looks like there may be two different designs/styles

We have one similar to the one in the first picture for both our cars.  Izzie prefers to stretch out on the part that is not supported by the back seat.  We have two large dogs and it gives them a little extra room. Love these car seat covers.

Thank you for your replies, I was about to order one last night for my anticipated little girl when I had the horrible thought of putting a fear imprint into a little mind. What a horrible thought of frightening my own Doodle. LOL

We just got one for Ceilidh. She would really rather ride in my lap, but since that's not happening, it's working well!

Diane, which one did you end up buying. My little one was finally born this past Saturday so I have to make a decision. Thanks for your input. Sue

I think it's this one: http://www.petsmart.com/product/index.jsp?productId=3945021

probably any of them would work okay...

I have this one.  Seda has always know it and has never had a problem with it.  She is also restrained with a harness and a tether.  When the dogs get into the car, Weber just jumps over it and into the front seat where I restrain him.  I love the way it protects the leather from dirt and water when I take them to the forest.  In those cases they both stay in the back seat.  I like mine.

Ceilidhe is able to make the zipper go down and rest her head on the arm rest, so I don't know if that would bug you.
