Has anyone heard of Dinovite? My mom's friend swears by it for itching but I'm skeptical:

Thanks in advance!

I just read through the entire post and, I too, wholeheartedly agree with Doris.  Here is my two cents.  It is maddening to find that two individuals, about whom we know nothing, join the community and proceed to insult our intelligence.  Obviously, they did not do their research.  Karen, Adina, and F have a wealth of information, backed by formal education that they have shared with us, to the benefit of all.

Thanks, Christine.

Thank you Christine.

Recommending supplements without the proper information (there was no info in the original discussion about the food fed, diagnosis, further symptoms or evaluation etc) is irresponsible.  No one or animal should take supplements that they do not need unless it's to treat a known deficiency or condition (to reiterate F's, Karen's and others posts) as they can cause further and serious health problems.  Although someone with a sound understanding of nutrition and digestion should know this already. Supplements are not globally safe and should be treated like other medications meaning prescribed to treat a known deficiency or condition.  I think it is shameful that someone would throw out advice to give a whole food supplement based on the information presented.  I do believe that holistic and supplemental treatments have their place but not when manipulated and presented to someone in this way.  And some people may experience resolution of symptoms after taking a supplement because it was lacking in their system, that does not mean everyone should give the supplement.  Reading about nutrition on the internet or elsewhere when you don't have the educational background to evaluate the information presented does not make you an expert and leads to further misinforming people about their or their animals health.  Luckily, Heather, you were on top of it and looked to the right people for more information!

I am sorely regretful that I don't have time to enjoy this discussion. GGEK

GGEK- good groodles eat kibble???

I have no clue and Google didn't!

I will take a stab at it...Go Get Em Kids?

The prize goes to, BG. As the wiener you shall receive a year supply of canine nutritional
supplements.. Congrats.

I like Joanne's guess better, though. (No offense, BG!!!)

Hey, what can I say?  I speak Canadian!

p.s. you can keep the suppliments - we are good here.  But is you are having a wiener roast at your place, count us in!

For once I did not totally miss a heated discussion (hmmm, maybe I should be working). Not going to chime in as I leave that to my DK experts, F. Karen and Adina, whom I stand by wholeheartedly. My dood eats good food, takes Evening Primrose oil and is a healthy specimen due to their expertise.
