I just  got home from Petco...I was returning the 3rd toy that was advertised as "indestructible" and "great for aggressive chewers." After 30 minutes of play, Jacki had them in pieces! I have the cow hooves and bully sticks (they don't last very long), but I would like something for indoor play. I did decide to try one more toy from Petco and that was a Fire Hose toy. The clerk assured me that this would last for awhile. So far Jacki has only shredded a little bit of the nylon on one end so maybe we will get our money's worth out of this one!!! Any other suggestions?

The only toys Teddy has not destroyed are from Planet Dog www.planetdog.com Teddy has the snowball and the cosmos ball (the cosmos ball is very big, I got it because it's too big to roll under the couch). I try to only buy the balls that they rate 4 or 5 out of 5 chompers. Teddy also had the football, but he chewed off the white "laces" right away. He succeeded in chewing bits out of the opening of the football after a few months. But the other ball have lasted more than 6 months so far. Planet Dog toys are also available on Amazon and I've seen them in several pet stores in my area too. For chewing, Teddy also loves antlers and they last a long time.

I need to get some toys that don't fit under the couch! I have spent many nights crawling around on my hands and knees looking for the cow hooves and elk antlers!

Let me know if you find any. It's like a black whole under there.

LOL! I know what you mean :)

Mine ate through the fire hose very quickly. I just keep sewing up the stuffed toys:) Antlers are great too.

I actually found a toy on the clearance rack at Target...it was a cloth toy without the stuffing! That way I don't have to pick up all the stuffing once a hole has been chewed :)

nylabone for agressive and hard chewers is the only thing i can give luna. even the kongs are ripped apart in a few mins. the nylabones seem to last about a month or so. we have every size and shape they make and thier favorite it the wish bone shape because its easy to hold between thier paws. we do buy some of the larger rope toys that are 3 inches or wider that way luna cant get it to her molars and bite through it. I have seen antlers for sale but havent tried them yet because sophie seems a bit young for something so hard. The other thing I will start to make again are beef bones you make stock with, bonus you get to make stock and get a dog toy. I make about 10 of them and freeze after they cool. Once they get the marrow out you can refill with pretty much anything refreeze and it makes a great yard toy. I only get the ones that are about 5 inches and longer so they cant get stuck in thier mouth.

Great suggestions! Thank you!

Old sheep skin ugg boots have worked in our house !
Can't belive Evie hasn't destroyed them yet, it has been over a week

I found the super intelligent toys are also worked out in about 20 mins also.

We find decent sized fresh bones great, but Evie is over 6 months now, we can almost watch a whole movie without her destroying anything else or trying to play with us. we give her a massive towel to sit on with the bone, and she is happy as, but the towel end up looking like something was murdered on it, lol

I can't help but wonder if you found out the Ugg boots were a great chew toy by accident :) I have yet to watch an entire movie without having to get up and take Jacki outside at least 3 times!!! My kids are all grown and on there own...I feel like I am back in the days when I had toddlers  LOL

we have the same thing. it took us 3 1/2 hours to watch joyfull noise last night  and we purposely watched that over iron lady or the vow because we knew we would have to get up so much. between the potty breaks and breaking up the rough housing we barely can do anything.

And yet Wispa has already destroyed one of my ugg slippers :( :(
