I just got home from Petco...I was returning the 3rd toy that was advertised as "indestructible" and "great for aggressive chewers." After 30 minutes of play, Jacki had them in pieces! I have the cow hooves and bully sticks (they don't last very long), but I would like something for indoor play. I did decide to try one more toy from Petco and that was a Fire Hose toy. The clerk assured me that this would last for awhile. So far Jacki has only shredded a little bit of the nylon on one end so maybe we will get our money's worth out of this one!!! Any other suggestions?

He can't tell the difference between an ugg slipper and a chew toy. When I had puppies, I started putting all shoes and slippers up on the window frame in the bathroom. It became a habit (which my DH dislikes) but they are well past the chewing stage. My suggestion would be ALL things you do not want chewed up out of reach or behind closed doors.
I do, except in the front hall, which we shut and keep her out of. I leave for work before DH, and the other day he left the door open!! Ah well :)
I have several toys from this company www.westpawdesign.com and I have a very agressive chewer. They are very rubbery and chewy for dogs and I am extremely impressed that they are pretty much indestructable. They have a one time replacement guarentee as well. My doodle chews on them for long periods of time and never has she been able to get a piece off and the toys do not even show teeth marks! She especially likes the one called Zogoflex Tizzi. It is her toy of choice for her "crate time" and she will chew on it while we watch TV. We also have several split elk antlers around at all times and she enjoys those too. Give the WestPaw toys a try....you will not be disappointed.
I am definitely going to look into these! I like the idea of keeping Jacki busy while I am trying to watch my favorite TV show! I do have an elk antler but what do you mean by split antler? Is the inside exposed for a better tasting chew?
Yes...they split them lengthwise so the marrow is exposed and the dog can "scrape/chew" the marrow out. It is the only kind I get and my dog LOVES them. They can be a bit expensive but sooooo worth it. I go nuts and buy a bunch at a time and they are cheaper that way ...so I have lots in my "doodle pantry". Wish you were closer...I would just give you one to try. My dog currently has about 5 or 6 of them laying around on the floor. Some are really chewed and smaller but she chews them all at different times. When I really want to keep her busy I get a brand new one out. But even if you just have one or two, they last months. Somebody on DK suggested soaking the old ones in water for a couple hours to make it seem new to the dog....It works! And...by the way, your puppy is adorable!
Ollie goes through toys fast too. He loves stuffed toys...but they only last a few minutes...maybe 15 if its the real tough ones...
So I have found these http://www.petco.com/product/112288/Hartz-Flexa-Foam-Round-About-Hi...
This Hartz brand can be found at Wal-Mart, Kroger, and Petco. They are awesome. They are soft and have some sort of stuffing in side and a squeaker. I got Ollie an angry bird one from Kroger and he loves it... and it just has a couple puncture marks after months and months of use. He loves to play catch with them.
I really did not expect them to last, but they have. Here is the angry bird one - http://www.hartz.com/Hartz_Products/Dog_Products/Toys/Angry_Birds/3...
Thank you! I think I have seen the Angry Bird.
I'm pleasantly surprised at how well they have held up (and how inexpensive they are)
I have a few West Paw Design Zogoflex toys as well as elk antlers. I get my elk antlers for Antlerpantry.com. I tell Linda that I have aggressive chewers so she chooses an appropriately dense antler for my guys. There are no stuffies in our house anymore.
I'm glad to get so many online options. I didn't even think of checking online. I forget that there are so many more options out there instead of just Pet Smart and Petco!!
Oh boy - been there! I'd say "done that", but we're still "doing"....Tori tears EVERYTHING..... We have had luck with any KONG brand toy - the balls, the actual Kong, and we also have had luck with the JW dog toys - the bowling pin, football (although she has managed to push the squeaker inside the ball) but has not torn it and the open toss ball with the water bottle type plastic inside. Here's a link to some of them so you can get an idea of what they look like - However, I bought them all in Pet Smart

For chewing - we have had the best luck with nylabone for powerful chewers
