Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
I debated about whether to add this discussion in the Photography group of here in the Art Cafe. I'm thinking since my photos taken for this class will probably look a little more like "art" (at least I hope they do), it should probably be here. I'm excited about the class. I just finished the first lesson and it's confusing but intriguing at the same time. I'm feeling like a total novice compared to the others in this class who have posted some of their prior work which is amazing. They have big time equipment...I don't. Anyway for me this is all about learning to look at things a little more creatively and having fun. So, here are my first "assignment shots". The instructor will critique them next Monday. Since this is the first lesson, I'm pretty clueless about what she'll be looking for. I'll let you know and add any key "learnings" to this discussion.
This one is actually tree mold that I thought looked pretty neat...

It is spectacular, Nancie! You're right...everything here is perfect. You should start a discussion here so that you can just keep adding your work. I'm waiting for some of those Lensbaby photos!
OMD! I'm in awe of this photo Nancie!!! Perfection!!!!
Nancie.....did you use a flash for this?
Thank you Carol and Jane. No flash. Shot in manual around 9:30 AM. I used my Tamron 18-270 and zoomed to 140 mm, spot focus, f/6.3 and 1/320 shutter speed. I fluctuated between that speed and 1/500. When I was scrolling through my photos I was shocked when I saw it! I took quite a few pretty darn nice ones but that one just popped out at me and I couldn't believe it came from my camera!!! Lens baby is on hold at the moment. Maybe this weekend I will have time to start playing with it. I had classes and meet ups last week and weekend and had to use "real" lenses...ha ha.
That f 6.3 was the perfect aperture for this flower.
Absolutely Spectacular Nancie! Really, WOW. It looks like you could reach in and touch it ;)
Gorgeous Nancie.
Where is the second one, Nancie ???? It was also perfect. I am in awe of how talented you all are.
Wow, You absolutely nailed it!
