My Idea for a Calendar! Give the People What They Want!!

It is about that time of year when we can start submitting pictures for the annual Doodle Calendars.  At the beginning of the year I wrote a blog about some of the backstage drama involved with this year’s calendar that happened at our house.

Sure, the calendars are cute, but getting your Doodle in that calendar takes gumption, persistence, and the knowledge needed to operate a camera or the ability to force your daughter to do it for you.  Well, recently it has come to my attention that Fudge and Vern have been in the slideshow quite frequently and people were wondering why in the hell why they had to couldn’t see more of Fudge and Vern.  The commenters were very jealous nice and insisted they were sick and tired very pleased to see my dogs go by on their screen and even less more thrilled to see one of the dogs and me on a slide at the park.  This led to comments about paying Adina off the selection process and my fitness and maturity level pleasant and fit outward appearance.  I took the barbs comments in the spirit they were intended I plan on getting even and came up with an idea for this year’s calendar. Please hear me out.

 

A few months ago all of a sudden, out of the blue, Adina ran a slideshow called, “All Fudge and Vern, All the Time.”  I woke up one day and could not believe it when I saw the stunning pictures go by.  It was like a dream come true.  I have no idea what made her pick my two dogs, but we were honored and sincerely hoped that she never changed the slideshow back to all those other dogs knew how score one for Laurie, Fudge and Vern happy she made us. I think the slideshow was a great success and most losers members acted like they could not stand wait to see less more pictures of Fudge and Vern.  Now, for the good news!!!  There are plenty more where those pictures came from and with the right threats encouragement I am sure I could make get my daughter to make a calendar for anyone that would be interested.  Here are a couple of ideas for the name of the calendar I have been batting around…A Monthly Dose of Fudge and Vern or A Picture a Day of Fudge and Vern Keeps the Doctor Away or how about I Need the Money, So Buy This Calendar The Fudge and Vern Calendar.

I do want to be clear that you should absolutely buy one or more of the DoodleKisses calendars that Adina creates. This calendar I am offering is simply for those folks who can’t get enough of Fudge and Vern and all proceeds will go directly to ME ,don’t worry about that part someplace. Please let me know I only care what you think if you agree with me what you think of this idea.  Thank you!  Just to whet your appetite…here is a little preview.

OK...for some stupid reason, I thought that this discussion about having a calendar for Fudge and Vern exclusively had been put to bed and I went on to other more important issues, like trying to find the perfect home for Shiner/Jill.  While it was my idea to have a 365 -day calendar, I really had no intention of being the one to compile it!  It was only suggested when I was loaded on caffeine IN JEST, as I thought Laurie could still have her 12 monthly pics of F & V for everyone  her to look at, but the rest of  us would also have a reason for buying it, after all, there would be 353 other days available.  In my mind, it would be a bit like a "bloppers" calendar -- like most pics of F & V are --with the expectations not set too high, as to not  make their  mom feel like a total reject badly, While I do think the idea is good, I'm not sure that I am the best person for the compilation job as I may be receiving a new foster any day now. You just never know when one might need me and I'd hate to be putting a stupid calendar together and be unavailable.

I can totally understand why Laurie would volunteer me for the job, but what in the world did I ever do to you, Ricki??

Doris, I can tell by this post that you are out of coffee. You seem a little edgy. LOL  Well, now that I see you may be getting another foster, I do think this job is too much for you, so I feel like we should delegate it to someone with more time on her hands, who is an expert in Photography.  So, with that said, F Parker is our new candidate. All those in favor, say "ahhh." LOL
