We've been using Advantix mainly because that's what the vet recommended. So far no problems, and no fleas!

K9 Advantix is the best for Maddy.  Just remember that you have to use a dog shampoo that will not take away

the efficiency of the flea and tick protection.  My breeder said it was ok to shampoo with human shampoo but she

didn't realize that the detergent makes the flea and tick not work.

Good point Patricia. We always give Murphy her bath once a month and then do the treatment the next day so that works out well.

OMG if only I only had to bathe her once a month!!!  We have a cabin in the woods up in Northern Wisconsin and

she is a little trail dog!  She loves the outdoors and I can't keep her from digging up the backyard, so you see, Maddy gets a shampoo and conditioner almost every weekend.

We use Advocate spot on.  The issue for us is that there's a massive slug and snail population in our area and they carry lung worm, and Advocate is the only lung worm prevention.

We use Comfortis on Lucy. Works like a dream!

I always used Revolution on my dog Kirby with good results. I'll check with the vet to see if he recommends this with Bailey when he arrives.

Frontline did not work for our pets.  Our vet said to switch to Advantage because puppies have dry skin and it's oil based so it works better. It definitely worked!
