Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi Everyone,
These are a female and a male mini goldendoodle from the past litter with my chosen Mom/Dad. The female is the top picture. I'm curious if you think they may stay flat like a GR or "doodle" out and become wavy. The owners unfortunately haven't kept in touch with the breeder so I'm not sure what they look like now.
I'm looking for a more wavy F1B and if I knew that they doodled out and got wavy, I would look for one with that coat type in the upcoming litter.
Any guesses?

Perfect :)
Emily, as soon as I saw my chosen Mom (Red F1 goldendoodle) & Dad (Red mini poodle), I thought OMG, a mini red fluff ball?? I even said to my mom when she asked why I picked that breeding pair that puppies would be like a minature Clifford!
I might be bias though because the "one that got away, but hasn't realized it yet" was a redhead, so I fell in love hard with the idea of red shaggish dog :) LOL.
It's going to be so hard if I wait until August, especially because pups will be born in October as well. It'll be hard to pass up that litter if it's anything like this one!
I'm confused Jess, did you decide not to go with the October litter, then? I know you were concerned about being 5th pick, but did you actually pass?
I didn't pass yet. I've kept my name on just in case.
If I find another apartment, this litter will be perfect timing and I'll just have to deal with housetraining in the winter. If I don't move, I'll stay where I am until the beginning of summer then move out. August would still be great timing too, it will be nicer weather and depending on other customers, I'll be higher up on that litter.
I live near many colleges and they do leases from summer to summer to accommodate students, so I'm not having too much luck finding something to lease in Dec, but I'm hopeful. It might all click together and be great timing, new place, new puppy, my birthday, Christmas...
So there are a lot of variables to be determined...
Total doodles!
These are def, doodle coats, and in no way flat. That bottom one is super wavy/curly. Cute, and Cuter in my book.
I really appreciate everyone's responses. I'm such a novice at looking at coats/coat types that I need all the help I can get. I guess I was thinking "flatter" because the other pups in the litter were noticably more curly at 6 weeks. But now I'm confident if I another pup looks like the right picture, I'll be able to choose him/her and know they will end up looking doodley! This is another pup from the litter at 6 weeks, but much curlier...
