Is it just me... or does any one else feel sorry for some of these dogs??

I can't help thinking about how the owners handle these situations.

I don't think you can assume the owners aren't handling the situation well. For all we know the entire scenario is made up. It's not like the dogs know they are being shamed. At least I hope not...

I agree. My take on it is that if you are the kind of dog owner who will spend the time writing out the sign, taking pictures, and posting them online, you probably are a fairly indulgent dog owner. I think that what makes the site so funny is in part the fact that we are so good at projecting human emotion onto dogs. (Which is not at all to say that dogs don't have emotions.)

Okay, I got my morning chuckle :-)  I did take a "mug shot" of Charlotte after she chewed up the 2 young peach trees we had JUST PLANTED.  That whole "should I laugh or cry?" feeling...

Jennifer, We had a dog that pulled out the birch tree we planted on a regular basis. My DH just kept re-planting it and it has survived beautifully. Oh, and the dog stopped his de-forestation agenda!
