A neighbor stopped by the other day and had his two dogs with him.  The older one was a beautiful golden retriever and the youngster her black puppy.  He said she got pregnant the first time she went into heat and they had wanted to breed her but not so soon.  They advertised the nine puppies for sale since both parents were registered dogs but the animal control came and asked for his breeding license.  Don't have one? He was given a citation (fix it ticket) which gave two alternatives.  Spay his dog or apply for a breeder's license.  Well, another neighborhood dog spayed.  But apparently the animal control watches for any advertised dogs for sale and require a breeder's license.

This should be enacted and ENFORCED nationwide!!!

Wish this would happen more often.

Jane, apparently not much except money.  But if pups are advertised for sale (I think these were on Angie's list), they check you out and make sure you are a licensed breeder.  Otherwise, don't post it.
