Great article on turning your dog into a runner

My DD told me she had heard of a running group that is designed for dogs and their people but she couldn't remember the name.  I haven't found the group yet but in my searching I did come across this article from Runner's World that talks about how to start running with your dog.

Hi Stephanie, how did you start the meet-up group?  Is there a parent organization?  I would really like to find one in the Atlanta area.  If there is not one, I would seriously consider starting one.

that's a great story. I got Sophie to be a running buddy, but I haven't been runnin so much lately. It's hard with Winston now as I feel bad leaving him behind, but he is such a dilly dallier and it is tough to run with both of them.

Hi Nina, 

I just saw your reply.  Anyway, I use meetup.com!  An old boss of mine had started the meet up group but she wasn't very active in it.  She knew I was a runner and asked if I would mind scheduling things and getting people out with their dogs.  It's a great way to meet other dog loves and we also manage to find "dog friendly" places to meet so we can eat on the patios and keep our pets with us.

It's a good time!
