Darn dog learned to hop up on the sofa... **UPDATE, goofy and unimportant**

I can't help but laugh as I correct her because she is so stinkin cute.

She hops up, gets this obvious smiley/smirky/twinkly look on her face and bounces up and down like she is on a trampoline.

ARGH!!!

I know it won't be cute for long so I need to stop it now.  That said, she looks so proud of herself.  SIGH.

*******UPDATE*******

Goofball dog is so stinken' cute when she hops on the sofa, I can't stand it.  We caved (of course), bought a waterproof pad that is almost the same color as the couch and she is allowed to hop up.

The good news?  She is on her absolute best behavior on the couch and snuggles up to whatever warm body is on the couch and goes into flat out snoring mode.

If she is at all mouthing, bouncing, walking, climbing, she is told off and not allowed back on unless she is calm.  She is figuring out that no toys are allowed, no puppy excitement is allowed, it is sleepy/love time or she is voted off the island.

  Technically NOT on the couch....HA!

Assuming her favorite position.

I think it would be cute forever... ;-] As long as you can deal with a big dog doing it, no problem with a little dog doign it. BB is allowed on the couches ;-]

My kid has asthma so I don't want Lolli on the couch.  We are going to buy a corner chair for her and a human friend when we are sure that she is completely housebroken as I would love to cuddle with her NOT on the floor.  :)

Ahh I see. Couch is a good idea! Won't be long!

I am so guilty of letting Hurley get on the couch. We did not allow him on the couch until a few weeks ago when he would jump up, curl up and go to sleep. I have seen him and the cat curled up by each other on the couch. I know letting him won't be so cute much longer and I need to bring it to a halt but isn't going to be easy.

Wait until she learns to get up on the top of the sofa and take a flying leap off... or starts "digging" on the cushions. Microfiber is apparently an interesting surface for them to paw on! That said, Charlie is allowed on the dark green couches in the family room, but not the ones in the formal living room. We seem to have at least reached that compromise.

I know what you mean. They are so darn cute when they put their front feet up , and then use their back feet to climb up. After all that effort, how could I put her down again. It required a Lot of effort from her to do that. We do allow our dogs to use the couches in the family room, but not the ones in the living room.
Our oldest doodle is 10 mo, and we just got another one, a chocolate one that is now 14 weeks old
Oh the joys of raising 2 fur babies at the same time. Especially the potty training. She goes to the door when I say. Wanna go potty, and she goes right out, potties and then comes back in and in five minutes or so, she will potty again IN THE HOUSE. ,I still love you Cocoa Chanal LOL She and Abigail play together a lot, ,I do have a bit of a problem teaching Abigail to play a little less rowdy with her.
SORRY. didn't mean to put an extra space there

Ours will pop a squat inside right after ringing the bells to go out (and giong out, making a puddle and coming back in).  Sigh.  THAT's another huge reason she isn't allowed on the couch.

Crate and Barrel has an awesome warranty on the couch, but I think it's not covering puppy pee.

Our pup has just learnt how to jump on the couch and now the bed . she has that same look on her face too. but like you said it won't be cute later on .

She is so cute, what a sweetie!

We have never let Teddy on the couch, and he never tried to jump up there, until one day we took him to our condo's clubhouse, where they have couches. Teddy jumped up on the couch and I guess he realized what he was missing! We took him back to the house and later that evening we walked into the living room to find him curled up on our couch! Needless to say, I took several pictures and then told him firmly to get off. He hasn't tried it since!
