Did anyone else take their Doodles to be blessed today? Linda (Webber & Seda) and I had plans to take the Doodles to Duke Chapel to be blessed at the blessing of the animals.  Turns out the service was postponed until next Sunday due to rain so we found a small, quaint , little chapel near by that was holding a small service.  Murphy, Wilson, Webber and Seda were all blessed along with other big dogs, small dogs, a horse and a guinea pig.

Great pictures.  Thanks for sharing :)

Great photography !!!  I never took my doodles to get blessed I have only done my Shih Tzus in the past.  I need to check when they do it in my area and get the doodles blessed - thank for the reminder :)

How lovely.

I love the pictures and can feel the warmth shared that day. I love this first Saturday tradition in October.''

I took Duke a couple of years ago to a dog park where they set up a table and it was an open animal blessing.  At the time we didnt know what was going on. The officiant came to each animal gathered and when I told her about an injury Duke had, she came back later and gave him a special prayer and talked with him and us.  To this day I know thats what healed his hurt.

Awe....thank you for sharing about Duke. I would like to think that the blessing will help Murphy with his thunderstorm issues. I hope so,I want nothing more than for my boys to know they are so safe and loved.

Amen!

Our Samson was blessed as well.  We belong to a small Episcopal Church and this is always one of  our favorite services.  This year we showed up just as the service started and Samson made his grand entrance and wanted to let everyone know he was there!  It took a few minutes for us to get him calmed down so the service could begin.  He had his eye on a certain chihuaha the entire time.  He just wanted to say hello but boy was he making her nervous!

Seda and Wilson had their eyes on a certain Guinea pig and I am pretty sure they wanted to eat it! And it's name was cookie...lol. Thank you for sharing your picture of Sampson.

Thanks for sharing Samson's blessing.  Ronna and I were at an Episcopal Church as well.

How fun!  And you can go next week too!

Really!!!

I was disappointed in myself for not remembering the Blessing of the Animals. We do not attend a church that does this so I really have to mark it in my calendar.

Well today I am pleased to say that one of my customers, Father Jim, came by to have a poster produced, he loves Daisy and while I was finishing up he asked me did Daisy get blessed. I told him no I had missed the day. Well 5 minutes later I hear him and he was giving Daisy her very own blessing.

I feel better now (and very privileged to have my very own connection). :-)
