Fleas or ithcy skin?

Hello!

We are fairly new to DK, so far everything has been so helpful! My puppy Zoe is almost 6 months old and she just got spayed last week. I've noticed she's been itching a lot lately and I'm worried she has fleas (again!) even though I haven't been able to find any on her, and I have been searching like crazy. She recently went to the groomers so she could have picked them up there or at the vet I guess? I've also been reading a lot in the food group and some people talked about itchy skin with doodles and giving cod liver oil tablets? Any suggestions? I don't want to put more flea medicine on her if it's not fleas because that can't be good for her skin either. I'm just not sure how to tell the difference.

The only time Brody was super itchy was when he had a good allergy to what he was eating so we switched his food and he was good after. Or her skin might just be irritated from the groomer if she got a bath there.

Pippi gets really itchy sometimes. She's also six months old and has been itchy off and on since she came home with us. I haven't completely figured out the cause, but her last itchy bout came after a trip to the groomer. Sadly, I forgot to remind them to use the hypo-allergenic shampoo. I gave her another bath at home with a medicated hypoallergenic oatmeal shampoo and rinsed like crazy, and that helped. I've also been giving her Benadryl on the vet's advice, which helps some. And she gets salmon oil on her food. Some people also suggest coconut oil, but Pip is not a big fan. Her skin looks fine-- not red or irritated, but the itching makes both of us sad.

Thank you so much! I didn't think about the shampoo at the groomer, that probably didn't help. I will try the oil too and see how that works!
