Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Since this is a helpful forum, I have a designed a useful checklist for dog owners. Don't try and beat me to the Patent Office on this one. I am sure not everyone needs this simple checklist, but there are plenty of others, ok maybe four, probably just one who resides with me some that do. No names will be given to protect the guilty, and I most certainly do not want to embarrass my husband anyone on this forum. This is strictly a to do list before bedtime for those of us with dogs, married to people who come to bed last without a thought for others sleeping or watching Person of Interest care in the world. For most of us it is self explanatory.
Nightly Checklist
Last person to come to bed should do the following:
DUH!!!
I was so excited to hand this helpful list to someone (again, no names, so this person can remain anonymous) who sleeps in my bed I know and was sure it would be well received and welcomed. The recipient read it, and then mentioned where he thought the perfect location was to stick it keep the list and ended with a DUH. I think a little tweaking may be in order, but I think this is really going to help. Let me know what you think!

Emily, I think this list is gonna be a godsend for those husbands people :) LOL
If you reward the dogs every time they come in won't they keep wanting to go out so they can repeat the homecoming? Otherwise the list is brilliant :-)
Notice I put the DUH at the end of the list...LOL!! Hey, I think you might be on to something with Vern, BUT if you don't give them the treat, they follow him back to bed and then you know who has to get up and get them one. I am trying to avoid getting involved at all after dark :)
These doodles are spoiled and have you guys well trained. The only automatic treats around here are when the dogs go in their crates.
F, What are you trying to say? Could you be clearer? Are you saying this is all MY fault? LOL You are focusing on the wrong problem. The problem isn't the treats, but the man your brother someone who doesn't do MY the steps he should before he comes to bed. In a nutshell :)
Well, I see the nut part :-) But really even a nut you must realize if you haven't changed your DH by now you might have better luck retraining the dogs.i
Do you think a younger model would be more trainable? LOL
Absolutely and the training is more fun:-)
Ok, this is getting interesting :)
Maybe you get two 25 or 30 year old modelsfor one older DH. And maybe model is just that.
I like how you think!
I am preserving your comment :-)
