Love/Hate relationship

We are in the midst of a blizzard this morning and let me point out I am the last person in the world that enjoys snow.  Meg has never seen it until today.  So I come downstairs at 5:30 this morning, give her a 10 minute scratch/rub and then it is time...

She cautiously stuck her nose out the door into the driving wind, eased to the edge of the covered porch and stopped dead.  My heart raced, hurray!  Meg is going to dislike it as well.  No such luck, a sudden leap, skid, furiously fast circle with nose being used as a snow plow and off she went.  There will be no pristine white snow cover on this two acres and I fear no quick in and out for potty time.  Meg loved the white stuff, and by the time we came back in I had to shake it all off me. 

I don't care how much she begs, I am not going to help build a snowman!

Aren't these doodles just like children? It's all fun and games.... I can just see Meg snow plowing with her nose! Cute!

Judy ~ love this story!  I with you on the snow.  We got a few inches on Christmas day and I am trying to stay in, but the doods keep ringing the bellsl and it is not to go out and potty - they want to chase each other around in the snow!  I can forget about clean floors for some time!  Yeah!

I still didn't break down and build a snowman, but I did throw snowballs?  She actually gets a question mark on her face when she grabs it to bring it back...clearly wondering what happened to THAT?

Looks like she is having a blast! Mine love it too and were out playing in it today! Makes for some worn out doodles!

What a cute story!  I know it will be hard on you, but when I see pictures of Doodles out in the snow it just makes me smile!  Especially since we live in Ca. and have to travel to see snow!  Hang in there DM:)

It seems that doodles just love snow. I think you are right to stick to your guns - no snowman building no matter how hard she begs..... :-}
