I am so sorry! Poor Hank. I don't know much about Addison's, but I know there are other members here who definitely do who will help you out. You have my support and well wishes!
Thank you so much I hope to talk to some of them to see how they are doing.
So sorry Staci for this diagnosis. I am sure someone will chime in with some personal experience.
Thank you
I hope Hank and you will soon feel better. I know there are many here on DK that can help you.
Thank you.
So sorry to hear this, I'm hopeful from what I have heard that Hank will be able to have good health and quality of life with the correct meds. Check out the Health group, link here, http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/healthandmedicalissues as there are others who also have doodles with Addisons and am sure they will be able to give you information and some welcome support.
Thank you so much I will check it out.
Here's one discussion, but I know there are more....I'll keep looking.
I'm sorry to hear this, Staci. There are other doodles here with Addison's, check the links that Jane provided as well as the Health & Medical Group.
Dogs with Addison's disease can live a long life and do very well. Here's a link to a wonderful support group with great resources for owners of dogs with Addison's Disease: Addison Dogs. Most of the people I know whose dogs have been diagnosed with Addison's have found this group to be invaluable.
Good luck, I hope Hank does well with his treatment.
I am sorry to hear about HAnk. As the others have said we have more than one doodle on DK with Addison's and they are as far as I know doing well.
