Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
So people were talking about what they did to that doodle to make him look like the lion, and on another Labradoodle website someone posted this link to a bunch of poodle cuts and OMD I died. The last one killed me the most. So take a gander.

HAHA I wrote the same thing!
The idea never has bothered me. I don't like the idea of dogs having to hold still for hours, but simply getting their haircut and dyed (I believe they are natural/safe dyes) is sort of a non issue in my eyes. I'm impressed by the groomer's skill every time. And I doubt any of these poodles get taken to dog parks in their 'costume' so they aren't at risk of getting attacked by a dog who is confused. I see it as an art form and as long as the dogs aren't being hurt in the process, I don't see the harm.
I seems to me that poodles love being groomed and will stand as long as you want them to for a grooming. We have to take turns with grooming, because we can't stand as long as the dogs can. If Groucho gets tired, he lays down. Just finished a total grooming that took 9 hours all together and we divided it up into three days (we couldn't do it any faster). He was fine and didn't seem to bother him at all. Here is a before and after shot.
Good job!
I didn't mean to spark a debate! Just thought these were so ridiculous that people would do this to their poor poodles. So much worse than that cute Labralion.
It's not my cup of tea, but it doesn't hurt the dog, and the dog doesn't mind it, to each their own. These are some crazy designs. I can barely get my guy to hold still for a brushing. But someone we all know and love might be getting the scissors and doggy safe dyes ready for the next blog. Run Vern! Just sayin'....
I really don't find them attractive, good old fashioned puppy cut is what I like.
