I call my girls and all other Doodles.....Doodles

I have heard Doods use more often lately, I personally dislike the name "doods". Where did it start? We have been around for 7 years and the year before on MySpace always Doodles.....oh yes, I brought out MySpace :)

I don't know why "doods" makes my skin crawl, but it does. I find myself correcting people when they say it. As in "my Dood is laying at my feet right now" I will say " Oh, I love DOODLE snuggles" and will say Doodle till they stop saying Doods....I know it sounds crazy, but I really can not stand it!

My post is what you use when referencing your dogs DOODLE or DOODS?

Anyone else hate DOODS as much as me?

Yes! Unless you are 12, you should not say Besties ever

LOL when ever I hear Besties I think of Amy Farrah Fowler on the Big Bang Theory.

I hate the phrase, ' Google it '
I use Doodle mostly, but there are times I'll say Dood. Not nearly as much though

I'm guilty of referring to my doodles as "doods" every now and then.  It's so much nicer than other things that I call them, lol!

Doris, I can't imagine you calling your boys any bad names.

See, I like Dood  (Dude) when referring to my guy.  There was an old Cheetos commercial where the mascot Chester the cat appeared in sunglasses and said "I'm a cool dude in a loose mood."  That's Gavin to a T.  Maybe it a male thing.  I don't think I would call a female dood.  Come to think of it when I have my friends female doodle I call them the dood and the doodette.

Me too, BG!  Guinness actually looks like a "Doodle" and Murph more like a "Dood".  I would definitely not call a female "Dood"...hmm does that mean I think Guinness is "girly"?

I think when referring to the dog as what he/she is "doodle" is more appropriate. I think we have "doodles" not "doods".
I use "dood" as in "Hey, dood!" , "the dood" and when Haley is out of sight in the yard I call "YO! DOOD!" as loud as I can and he come running much quicker than if I call "Here, Haley!".

that's funny.  If i'm upstairs and my 2 are downstairs I can yell "DOODLES" and then I hear the charging across the house to find me.

JD definitely knows that "doodle" means him, lol.

Our house as well, the girls will come running :)

I wonder what would happen if I went to a big doodle romp and just yelled "Doodles". That could be funny.
