F1 Goldendoodle coat changes?

Hi everyone,

My husband and I are getting a F1 Goldendoodle puppy in end of March or beginning of April. We are hoping to bring home a dark apricot pup. I know there is no guarantee on how the coats will end up, each Goldendoodle seems to be different! We love the shaggy wavy or straighter, ragdoll look! Do you have pictures that shows your Goldendoodles coat changes? What did your puppies coat look like at 7 or 8 weeks and how has he/she changed? I want to know what to look for. The mom is a dark apricot Golden Retriever and the dad is a cream standard Poodle. Thanks, yall! :))

Here is Sam an F1 standard goldendoodle. He is the apricot color and his parents are just the opposite of your future doodle! His mom is a cream golden retriever and his dad is a dark apricot poodle. He definatly has the hair you describe. He has had a hair cut one time. 1st pic is of him at 6 weeks, 2nd at about 7 months before haircut, and 3rd is 8.5 months. (Not sure how to post pics in my comment!)

Oh my gosh he's soooo cute! I love his coat! Thank you for posting! :) Does he shed at all?

He is in the process of growing his adult hair and loosing his puppy coat, so we do have little fur ball/ dust bunnies in all the corners of the house. I don't think he will shed when he is an adult, but if anything will be a little shedding. If he walks by me with black pants on I don't get hair on me, but when I brush him out I get a brush full!

That's nice that he doesn't get hair on your clothes! I have a cat who already keeps me busy cleaning his hair up everywhere!!

It has been a pleasure to watch Hattie grow :)  She is a perfect example of a dog with a lot of "fluff" around the eyes so you can tell she was going to be a very "doodly" doodle.

I love how fluffy and cuddly she looks!!! Does she shed at all? She's super duper adorable!!

Wow, I hope I get lucky and can find a fleece/shaggy coat Goldendoodle who doesn't shed! I've noticed that most Goldendoodles who have less poodle in them, shed more than others.
