SInce Annie is now 66 lbs at 8 1/2 months old, I had to join the heavyweights club.  I'm not telling her though because she still thinks she's a tiny pup.  Stomping on my internal organs while she makes herself comfortable on my lap, crushing my muscle tissue hopping onto the bed.  I don't want to give her a weight complex, but I can't help but wonder how large she is going to get!?

Haha, heavy... but probably like my Sadie's size she's 75-80lbs full grown and was about 65lbs at 8months. :) She's 6 now and still thinks she is a lap dog. The funny thing about Sadie is she's a big girl, loves to exercise, play ball and romp-but isn't an over eater at all....she'll actually leave a treat or two "in waiting" and go back and finish later when she's got an appetite. Annie is adorable-I wonder how big she'll get too!

Thank you, and Sadie is quite a looker herself! I am surprised to see so many female dogs that are so large. I always thought that females generally ended up being smaller... I wonder what Annie's littler mates are up to by now - I should ask the breeder if she has heard from any of them... Annie has already outgrown her own mother who is 60 lbs (her father was only 48).
But Annie is not overweight, she still has a slender waist and her belly is not big. She is pretty tall and her shoulders come just above my knees. She is just my little doll baby but really doesnt realize how big she is - sometimes it really is painful having her jump into my lap... but I could never kick her off!

Let me just put it this way. Jackdoodle was 14 months old when I adopted him, and he weighed just about what Annie weighs now. Granted, he was not eating and was much too thin at the time. But he is now at his perfect weight for his frame, which is 80 lbs, and he does sometimes go up to 85 lbs.

I'd guess Annie will be at least 75 lbs at two years old, if not more. :)

Oh dear... I don't mind - and I'm actually pleased that she is so big - I prefer big dogs, the bigger the better.  But in my life, I've had plenty of large dogs, I don't think any of them have been 75 lbs.  Annie weighs more than her sister (our Boxer Lucy) by 4 pounds already.  I think she'll still get a bit taller, as she still has that 'knobby knee' look to her front legs....  Thank goodness Annie finally learned to jump into the car when we're going for a ride - I doubt I'll be able to lift her much longer!

Sometimes when I look at Annie, she is making Jack's face from your profile picture, so Jack is in my head often LOL. He's such a handsome man..

Thank you! I do see a resemblance!

All I can say is my internal organs are mush after Tia being 81 lbs at almost 6 years old.  81 lbs. is so much better than the 90 lbs. she was before.  Tia topped out at about four years old and then it has taken us two years to get her down where she looks and acts her best.  The vet wants her to weigh 74 lbs but Tia really does look best at 80 lbs.  My feet, lap, and so forth would like it better if Tia weighed what the vet said.  Of course it all depends on how tall and long your dog is going to get.  Good luck.

Aren't they all lap dogs????  Mine loves to sit on me in the recliner and rock...just like a big baby.  He also comes up in bed with us a few times a night and his aim is not always good, so I also understand the crushing of internal organs.  Monty is 50lbs at 5 months and he also has no clue I am in this group. Sometimes it is best we not tell them everything.  :)
