Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

My golden Doodle is 4 1/2 months old.  I just weighed him today and he is 44 lbs.  My breeder said he would be between 55 and 65.  Im thinking he will be bigger.  Does anyone have an opinion?

Wow, that is big! I can't imagine he's going to top out at 65. You've got a big boy! :)

Traz (Labradoodle) was about 36 pounds when we received him at 4 months.  The breeder thought that he might top out at 55 pounds.  He is 9 months now and weighs 54+ pounds.  Grandparents were 55 pounds & 40 pounds.  I just found out that his Dad is 70+ pounds.  He changed his eating pattern over the past month and only gained 1 pound from 8 to 9 months, so maybe, he is topping out.  Most people said their dog didn't stop growing until 1 year.  Traz has some pretty big paws and a big head, so we shall see.  More doodle to love :-)

Wow! That's a big boy, I would say....

Harley weighed in the 40's during his 4th month.  He started slowing down when he reached 70lbs.  He now weighs 83 at 2 yrs.  So my guess would would be heavier than 65lbs.  I LOVE! my big boy.  he has also become much more of a cuddle  bug in the last 6 months or so.

He is adorable! Pick him up while you still can for all those body hugs that feel so good!!

Our dog was the same and ended up at 87 pounds. Of course, as all Doodles, after a close haircut they only weigh half of that. The good news is that they are light on your feet.

lol!  so true.  It was very shocking the first time Harley had a major cut.

Yeah the likely hood is more like 88 to 98 and that's if he's not over weight!
