Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Quinn is an amazing big black bear. And I mean big. We met his very tall poodle mommy and his very sturdy golden daddy when we picked him up as a puppy. We expected our boy to be a big one. He just turned 9 mos. and I'm beginning to think he may now be full grown. Can anybody tell me if our boy is as big as he is going to get at this age? Best guess he is somewhere between 65 and 70 pounds. One other thing. Do all doodles love rolling in smelly things? The look of shear joy on his face was worth having to give him a thorough bath. My Border Collies have never been into smelly stuff. Quinn starts agility school next week. Hope he can fit in the tunnel.

He's probably pretty much done with his skeletal growth and won't get much taller, but he's going to be putting on muscle and lean mass for another 6 onths approximately, which means his weight is going to continue to go up.
My doodle doesn't like to roll in smelly things, but my poodles did. :)
Finnley is still gaining a couple of pounds a month. She just turned 10 months on March first, and is now at 70 lbs.
I bring her to the vets the 1st of every month just to weigh her. I'm was hoping we were tapering off a bit.... then I read Karen's reply - YOWZERS ! :)
The rate of weight gain does slow down, so she won't be gaining at the same rate she is now. :)
From you lips to the "Great Doodle's" ears Karen ! LOL
Both of my dogs roll in deer poop and any smelly thing they can find. I used to take them in and give them a nice sudsy, warm bath, and towel dry them. My son pointed out that since they liked the baths, I should quit rewarding them for rolling in disgusting things. So, I started just hosing them down with cold water outside. Well, I am here to tell you that it doen't make any difference. They still roll in deer poop.
Quinn is a adorable! I can't really help with the weight part of your question but I do know something about doodles who like to roll in wonderfuly disgusting things :-/ I keep a healthy supply of the product In Between Clean available at all times, it has been a great "nose saver". It has made dead animal and cow/horse poo smells disapear along with making the hair feel nice. Then I set aside a chunk of each pay check to go toward grooming bills ;-)
Charlie never got any bigger since she was about 7 ~ 8 months old...
My doodles adore rolling in dead and disgusting things if they get a chance.
Our Doodle, Chester continued to get taller until he was about 2yrs old. Most of his height was by the time he was a year and then it slowed down. He's now almost 3 and we just love him!
When I adopted Camus I was told he was 60 lbs and ~ 1 year. He is now 82 lbs and about 1.5 inches taller, so my guess was he was no older than 9 months. , he went through a major coat change 2 months after I adopted him, so he might have been younger than 9 mos, no way of really knowing, but he just kept growing!
