Good Morning All!

I guess in being spoiled that our 9 week old Whidbey is sleeping so well through the night, I have been trying to stretch it through the night.  Well- this morning at 6AM she started crying.  I took her to the sliding door out to the deck where we have a nice set up for her out there to potty.  I stood inside the sliding door-  she was not happy trying to get in because I was not out there.  Finally she peed- and I brought her in and put her back in her crate.

Well- the barking and crying started up again.  Thinking to myself- "Let her bark it out.  It's too early to get up."  She then whined, barked even more!  Feeling rather irritated- like "what the heck has gotten into her?", all of a sudden I smelled it.  POOP!  UGH

So I wake up- walk to her to the crate and there she is sitting in a pile of poop in her crate- COVERED in it by now.  POOR BABY!  I feel so bad!

Needless to say I have had a HUGE cleaning job this morning- having to wash all her bedding in the crate, and her.  Also my PJs, spots on the carpet where she ran out, and several toys of hers!  WHAT A MESS!!

Of course now I am kicking myself.  I should have gotten her message- and also gone outside WITH HER rather than standing inside the door!  LOTS of lessons learned for this poopy human!!  LOL

We experienced a very similar scenario at 8 wks. We felt horrible! From then on, we got up when Murphy whined or jiggled the crate door. Luckily he only woke us when necessary (not just play). The 8-11 wks age was a lot of work! Murphy is 15 wks now and so much more enjoyable!

Wow Stephanie!  Your Murphy looks a lot like Whidbey!  Very similar coloring!
