Summer got spayed on March 12, 2013. And the scars seems like it's healing pretty well. However, I am a little worry about the very top part of the scar. (Summer is still acting normal & nothing seems like its bothering her at all)
Do you guys think it's infected or is it just what disolvable stitches looks like when it's healing?

When I blow this way up the top of the incision looks suspiciously like pus.
the top part looks a little odd too me. If I were you I would take her to the vet just in case.
I agree the vet should take a look. Besides that top part, the whole incision looks a little too red to me after nine days.
I'm in the minority here. I don't think the incision looks very red for 9 days. That could be just a bit of crusty stuff. I would press it gently if you see pus like material coming out I would bring her to the vet. I do not see any signs of infection in the surrounding tissue either, which is good. You could always call the vet. Let us know.
I think if it were infected it would be redder around the incision. I agree with F and would press on it to see if there is any puss. It's not the neatest of wounds and still has a little way to go to come together completely.
I think this looks ok, there is no redness or swelling. If it becomes more red and inflamed or she runs a fever I would take her back to the vet but for now I'd just keep an eye on it.
Looks a whole lot better then my gall bladder scar looked when I came home from the hospital ! It just looks weepy to me, but not infected. Why don't you just email the picture to your vet ?
I would put some hydrogen peroxide on it & then neosporin unless the vet told you to leave it alone. Does it feel excessively warm?
Something similar happened with Tara's spay incision. Ten days to 2 weeks after the surgery it became very red and swollen. I called the vet and he said that some dogs react this way to the dissolving stitches as they break down. I don't recall her having an area like the top though it looked more like the bottom area in the photo. Perhaps give the vet a call and describe this to them and they can decide if she should be seen. Good luck and I'm glad that it doesn't seem to be bothering her. That is how Tara was with her's too.
