I just got a doodle this weekend. He looks 100% lab. I was just curious how long it will take for his coat to change.

Every doodle is different.  Some are really quick, some take a while, and others never do.  A little more info about your doodle like how old it is, what type F1, F1B, F2 etc., and some pictures would help people make a guess.

I am unsure how to post pictures. But Salt is 11 weeks. He looks like a pure lab, which is why he caught my eye. I do not know if he is a F1 or such.

How did you obtain him?  Just curious if he was sort of an 'accidental find' of some kind since you don't know the type of doodle he is.  He looks very labby and probably will not be very furry/scruffy, but he's cute!

I have a 4 year old lab named Pepper who has always loved with other dogs, and recently I started living alone so there is no dog for him to play with. So I decided to get another dog and found Salt in a pet store.
Here are a few photos of salt

He's very cute but definitely looks more Lab like than Doodle like!
I agree.

Me three. He looks lab.

That's what drew me to him. Was that I already have a black lab and having grown up with labs, I fell in love.

His coat may not change at all and he may continue to look like a lab, he may even be a lab!  Whatever he is he is very cute. It's hard enough when you get a doodle puppy from a reputable breeder to know what the coat will end up as but buying in a pet store is even more random. Good luck with your new puppy and I love his name : )
