as long as i remember to keep my phone out of my pocket the pics should be coming in haha... i think i gotta start to train myself to do that starting now :p

Caleb as long as you have love, kindness and a ton of patience you have all you really need. I look forward to seeing your new baby and congratulations.

An extra crate. One to place by your bed at night and one right by the back door to zoom out to potty train ( day time )

We actually just used a large cat carrier for that first month in our bedroom.  I put the carrier on the recliner right next to my pillow.

You may also want a Snuggle Puppy ( simulates the mother's heart beat for soothing) but I never needed one. Others swear by them

I also had a small book bag with all the extras in one bag. When we got Spud, we were traveling a bit between two different cites and he was always with us.  Like a diaper bag, it got us through the day.

Seat belt.  Until our pup was older, we also just used the cat carrier in the car and strapped that in.

I am with Joanne. I swear by that Snuggle Puppy. Also, bully sticks! Good luck! This is such an exciting time.

I am excited for you.  Congrats on your new puppy and it looks like you have a pretty good list.  Post pics.

A 20ft long line was very helpful for us.  A ball (of course).  Lots of sleep now because you will be in deficit in two weeks!

haha... sleep has been something foreign to me for quite some time now :) being a business owner i usually don't have much time for sleep :p

Pet Insurance (do a search in the discussions for info on the different options)

And unless your breeder is feeding Blue Buffalo, don't make the switch until he has been with you for 2 weeks.

yup :) i'd never even attempt to take care of another life unless i had some insurance as a safety blanket :)

Easy Walk Harness, until you go to Obedience Training.  Then you may want to switch collars. I really don't like to leash train puppies with flat collars. I don't think that is good for throats at all. Maybe later in life, but should never be used to leash train. My thoughts, they  hold tags but that is all they are good for.

Check out the Easy Walk or the Gentle leader, or brands names

yea i was looking into the easy walks and stuff and i was thinking maybe i'd get it when Tobi is a bit older since pups grow so much so quickly... or do you think i should just get one right off the bat and just keep getting new ones???

My puppy solved that dilemma by chewing his first Easy Walker right through.  They do offer a reduced price on the second one though so keep the booklet that comes with it.  Better yet, make sure your pup is does not reach down and bite the strap that goes across the chest.  We did not even realize what he was doing until it was too late.
