Help me figure out if this cutie is a goldendoodle please!

I'm considering this pup and wondering if you have any insight.  We recently tried to rescue a goldendoodle only to figure out that the individual "rescuing" the pups was really running a scam selling maltipoos as goldendoodle puppies.  So, as you can imagine I'm nervous and the seller of this pup isn't really helping. 

 

Here are some pictures.  The seller says she's 8 weeks old and that her sister is the breeder.  She included pics that she says are the parents - a 45 lbs golden mother and a 14 lb poodle father.

Also, it helps to be able to list a vet, a groomer, and a trainer on an application. You're going to need them anyway once you get your dog, so line them up now if you haven't already. That looks so much better on an adoption application than just a blank space. Talk to a good trainer and ask if you can list him or her as a reference. They will be impressed with a prospective dog owner who is thinking ahead and will probably be willing to help you. They might even know of dogs who are available in your area for adoption, trainers often do. On an application, this will be a great reference, it shows that you have done your homework, understand that every dog needs training, and are prepared to care for a dog for life, and it might cause the person who is reviewing applications to take a closer look at yours.

I've seen some ads that I think just have googled for images of puppies and parents.  I guess anywhere people have the opportunity to make money people commit fraud.

a couple of my friends have malti poos and that puppy (in my personal opinion) looks like a maltipoo puppy. that puppy doesnt look like the litter in the picture either. Zoe was a mini and was really small as a puppy but looked more chunky than fragile. I don't know...just my opinion tho

I won't tell you how long it took me to find my dog, but it was worth the wait.

Do not ignore you gut - when in doubt, don't.

You can't hurry love and the right one will turn up.  Don't let the emptiness gnaw on you and just keep looking.   If you feel or see a red flag, then pay attention.

 

I would start hovering at adoption events - get to know some folks, instead of being a name on an application.   Not all first time dog owners are the same, and not all rescuers are the same - not all breeders are ethical nor all bad.   

If you need non shedding then I agree on focusing elsewhere - unless you find an adult to adopt -

I applaud your efforts and will to rescue a puppy.  You sound like you'd be an excellent owner.  I know that you will eventually find the perfect pup for your home.  As always, this site has offered some great advice to help along the way.  Continue to do what you are doing and you will be rewarded.  Post pics when you get the pup of your dreams.  Good luck.
