Does your doodle hug?

Is it just a doodle thing?

I've noticed every time Teidi and his brother reunite they throw their paws around each others shoulders like an embrace and seem totally delighted to see one another, then they do a dance. I never noticed this in my previous dogs. or am I just mad?

Zoe hugs!  every time she sees her favorite papillion cousin she will put her arm around him or put her neck on his neck (like Zoe will go over Henrys back of the neck with her throat) and hover.  

Bender hugs too but only humans.  I think that's the reason he jumps.

Oliver hugs, not other dogs, but he just adores two of my friends, when they come in, he gets so excited, and actually talks to them, he then waits till they have sat down, removed earrings and glasses, and then he puts both paws on their shoulders and around their necks and rests his head on their shoulders.  They adore him, (of course, almost as much as us, lol) and they have pictures of him hanging with their dogs around their houses...Oliver doesn't hug Ira or me, he will curl up with us, and lay all over us, and snuggle, but he only hugs my two friends, lol...and they think they are special because of it...

Sadie gives me hugs when she is very excited to see me--she will put her arms around my neck and try to lick my mouth--she is not otherwise a licker. She also hugs other dogs occasionally--usually if she's trying to get another dog to play with her she'll put one arm over the other dog's back or neck. (Or she'll just put her paw on their heads.)

This is something I have observed in doodles and not in other dog breeds.

  Oliver kind-of does this too....  i sit on my knees and say, " Oliver i need a hug!"  and he runs from wherever to give me a hug by me putting my arms on him and him putting his head on my shoulder.   its soooooooooooooooo cute when he does it for other people too.  now he thinks that whenever people are on the floor they want a hug. so when we have guests he goes around giving hugs because we have so little furniture.   there isn't a single person in our family that doesn't absolutely love Oliver!!!!!!!!!!

Mya hugs people. She has to come right up when someone sits down and the paws go up aroung the neck. It drives me nuts...
