Just thinking about our wedding in May and was wondering if it is totally dorky and weird to have Parker as part of the day as I would love to have my baby in my photos since he was part of the engagement shoot! I could get him a nice bow-tie and he could be my ring bearer?? lol
His trainer from his puppy classes actually offers this service and since everything else is so upside down with my wedding planning and my parents probably not even coming, I felt like doing something fun. The original theme of the wedding was supposed to be FUN anyway because we decided to get married next to a carousel.
I don't know...I don't wanna be one of "those people" as people have said to me but I guess I will see...I gotta see how much the trainer charges to transport him and get him ready because we have a super budget now that we are suddenly paying for everything now because when we signed all the contracts, my parents were going to pay 50%. OY
Pictures of my photogenic dood from our engagement shoot this summer.
UPDATE: The dog trainer who could deal with Parker was okay financially but happens to have another wedding on the same Friday night as ours! There goes that!

Ask the dog sitter!!!!!!!!!! Was she even going to be invited to wedding anyway?
It's YOUR wedding; come on, be selfish that day. I was, I was nice, but definitely not afraid to ask for help and favors.
K dog sitter says she would love to do it...she said that way she gets to feel like she's a part of the wedding and gets to see me in my dress. I love her! lol now I hope nothing changes from now till then and everything goes smoothly!
Dont you love how we are trying to tell you how to have your wedding! LOL My cousin recently got married (she's 37) and she refused to have children at the wedding cause they might cause a scene. Well for some of us older folks we think that simply silly. A wedding is what it is, goofy stuff that was not scripted, well there ya go.......life. Ignore us DK women (if possible. lol) do your stuff, but do what MAKES YOU AND DH HAPPY. :)
That's a happy solution for everyone involved. Its so sweet that she wants to be part of things. You must be a wonderful person to have a dog sitter who considers you so dear. I'm really excited for you.
well then they stay! parker could have a fabulous meal in the back. Pay her/him its not a favor, you are looking to have an extra in the wedding, right? Whats another $50 dollars? or whatever?? :) mho.
Lol I am actually doing a no kid wedding and reception for the most part...the only children that are coming are hopefully our nephew (fiance's brother's son) since he will only be 8 months and we haven't met him since they live in Indiana and my cousin's 3 year old (the oldest of her 4 kids-3
Oh for our wedding, our niece was only 1 yo. She came to ceremony, was in pics. I had my secretary's college aged daughter take her back to the hotel room after the ceremony. I had a KID FREE reception. I guess in hindsight that might have been kind of rude, but really, you can certainly find someone.
OK this is ADORABLE! I just got engaged and was thinking how cute it would be for Archie to be the ring bearer! He will be not a puppy anymore, so HOPEUFLLY a little tamer.... So, did you!?!?
She did have Parker at the wedding! I haven't seen Katie on DK for a long time. Maybe newly married life has her extra busy. If you click on Parker's profile picture you can scroll through her pictures for wedding photos. I think she wrote a blog on it, too.
Thanks :o) I did have him in the wedding. Our dogsitter came to be his handler, but he walked down the aisle with the groomsmen. Everyone loved it! He looked very handsome and it wouldn't have felt right without him! I believe I have pictures in my profile of him in his wedding "tux". Congrats on getting engaged!
I LOVE the last picture of him with the tie! You totally should do it! Congratulations on the wedding.
