Breeder Recommendations Please
I am looking to buy a doodle puppy and am hoping that some members will email me with breeder recommendations (or warnings). My hope is to have a puppy in the next few months -- if not sooner. I am in the Washington DC area and would love to visit before I put a deposit down, if possible. It is not a problem for me to drive several (up to 8) hours to do so. I am considering Yesteryear Acres and Brewers Goldendoodles in Ohio. I also wrote to Countryside in West Virginia, but was surprised to hear that they charge a fee just to visit. Is that considered normal? Any and all suggestions, thoughts and comments are welcome. Thanks!

Hi Carrie, Your best bet to start is to hover your mouse over the 'Help' tab above and click on the article about what to look for in a breeder.
That will give you all the info you need to know in your search. Are you close enough to any of those breeders to visit them? Not sure any of them are well represented here though I'm familiar with 2 of the 3 (but no personal buying experience from them). Expect friend requests in order to exchange recommendations privately since they are not allowed in the Forum.

Hi Carrie: I am helping my sister with her search of a Goldendoodle for her family. We too are in the DC area and I know she would like to hear about your experience finding your Doodle. She is not on Facebook so she is unable to "Friend" you.
