The FB page is a closed group, so nobody outside the group will see them there. They really do need the exposure. I just hate for DK to turn into a place where people try to rehome their doodles, like a Craig's List.

I will take the post down if you think I should...I personally don't even like seeing these stories on here myself because they upset me so much so how is that for being hypocritical....I just was grasping here because so many people on here are amazing Dow owners and that's what I want for these guys.

Personally, I don't think anyone should be posting dogs on here who are being rehomed through the owner, only dogs who are listed with legitimate rescue groups or in shelters. But I'm not the administrator, lol.

The worst battles we've had here have been over discussions where someone said they needed to rehome their dog. It's always upsetting to everyone, one way or another. In this case, it's not your dog, so most likely there won't be harsh words or hurt feelings. And we know you. I know that the dogs are posted on your breeder's site as well.

But I do worry that others may do the same and the end result is that we end up with a Craig's List for doodles here in the DK forum. Dishonest people joining to post about "their friend's" dog who needs a new home, even dishonest breeders with older puppies who didn't sell, pretending it's a friend's dog.

Actually we all posted it publically on our personal FB pages or at least a lot of people did....I have heard there is a family interested but I have no idea any info about them yet.....

We have a lot,of passionate people in the Chicago area who have plastered this around and are making it their mission to try to find a home for them.......no one in our closed group would be able to take on two more dogs or at least I doubt it but they are posting.......I will update when I find out more....

For now I am going to try not to be upset because it won't change anything I am going to focus on getting these babies homes..we also have a six month old puppy a family is allergic to and they are trying to resell the puppy for full price ..won't come down a penny. We had many people offer good homes for the six month old if they would come down SOME in the price but the owner won't and I can't talk to them because I would think that if they loved their dog they would give it away to the best home and cut their losses but Icant go there again because that case has drive e to the point of being nasty...

I am sorry I posted. Because like many of you, I get upset ....not just a little bit when I see these things.... poor dogs that are helpless and I am helpless to help them......

DK is a lot of fun......a lot of heart soul and amazing information ........I have never "met" people who totally understand my passion and perhaps are more passionate about animals...to be honest it isn't about a doodle sorry to say..every single dog deserves what ours have.

I posted in here very much for the same reasons that I am willing to,go,to any hospital in the country that is the best..because it gives me the best shot for a best life...

When you feel helpless and desperate like I did after seeing those pictures and thinking for one minute how they are going to feel....you just put yourself out there and I know just about any regular on DK would provide a supreme ho,e for these dogs ..that is why I ran here .......in the same breath I usually do t even look at pictures of dogs people post because it craps right on my day.

So now I understand both sides ...equally they suck ......but more so it is going to suck,for the dogs .....I don't have the option of erasing this post anymore..or if I do....it won't come up for me to......

I will let you know we have some good leads on homes of friends that are amazing people...I only know the people not the friends.

Adorable, sweet kids.  So sad for them to no longer be able to keep their home, for whatever reason.  I too am surprised that the breeder doesn't want them back to place herself, but perhaps the woman giving them up wants more control on where they go.  I really hope all goes well for them!  I'm not in the Chicago area so I can't help.

Checking with my sister, she lives in the Chicago area. Typically, she rescues dogs, currently she has none so .... I'll let you know. Great dog family!

If Archie was a little older I would take these guys in a second!!! BUt there is no way i could handle his 4 month old pup/crazyness plus more.... =( hopefully they find good homes soon...... they really are cute.
