Zoey came home with ear mites!

Been a little frustrated an unsure why Zoey had been itching so much. I was first thinking it was her collar because she wasn't used to wearing one. Then I thought it may be a food allergy. Her ears had been cleaned but did seem a bit dirty but she is such a poof ball. I brought her in to the vet and they did a ear swab and found a mite. I have 4 animals 2 cats and 2 dogs (okay, and a horse but she is stabled else where haha!) and they were going to charge me $34 for 1 dose of ivermectin for her ear mites! This would mean I would have had to pay $136 to treat all my animals. You can get the stuff at Mills Fleet Farm, Amazon, or any place for $35 for an entire bottle. I couldn't believe that! I didn't know they used Ivermectin for mites since I use it for Max as a heartworm preventative I already had the stuff at home. Anyway, thought I would share since it saved me a bunch of money! Mites gone with one dose!
