Charlie notices some of the very subtle sounds and knows exactly what that means!
Sound of poop bag unrolling ---- she hear this from another room and comes running! Time for walk!
Zipping up my briefcase -------------- I do my weekly paper work on Sunday night, and once I am done, I take it to the office to drop it off since its due every Monday morning. She hears this zzzzzz ! sound and knows its time for the car ride!
Chime sound the computer makes when I shut down --- Mom is done with the computer and is going to play with me!! She comes running with some sort of toy in her mouth!!
It never fails.. she could be comfortably sleeping on the couch, but when she hear these sounds, she knows!! How about your doodle?

That's what I was wondering???
Oh yeah, forgot about that. The UPS truck (driver), hurries up to our door and then dumps a package without even saying hello. What bad manners! And the garbage truck! Three trucks (garbage, yard waste, and recycling) come around on Wednesday morning and each one grabs a container with these long arms that hoist it up and dump it into the back of the truck. Sometimes the compressor even runs noisily. Drives the dogs nuts - They are stealing our garbage again! One time Groucho was out when the UPS truck came and he chased it down the hill.
Cheese!!! Zip open a cheese stick wrapper and Sedona comes running!!
Bailey knows when the microwave door is opened in the morning...that means a egg on her breakfast kibble.... silly Doodles!
--The sounds of shoes being put on...even on the kids...no matter the shoes. It makes the get hyped up and try to stand between me and my feet or me and my kids' feet. It usually means that the humans are going somewhere, not them. So I'm not sure why they get so excited. Well on second thought it sometimes means we're going to the yard to play...
--The sound of apples getting sliced or asparagus ends getting snapped. They almost always get half the ends tossed to them. Sometimes I'll throw a handful or two of asparagus ends out as far as I can into the yard to give them something to do. and occasionally they'll get a sliver of apple.
We just found that Meg also loves asparagus, weird...
Halas loves asparagus!
Isn't that interesting that they can distinguish the differences between apple being sliced V.S say potatoes?!!
Well to be honest with you...I think they get excited when I slice anything, but they probably got hooked on the sound with apples and such :-)
Does the asparagus make their pee stink? (snicker, snicker)
