Changes since first grooming

I am posting this on the puppy madness group as our island mini doodle just turned 1 year old. She had gotten pretty matted , especially after she was boarded. Her hair was shaved , so we could strt over. This girl weighs five pounds. Since the grooming she will not walk on a leash, as she used to. She refuses to walk. So we carry her. She also suddenly could jump up onto a chair or sofa where she was unable to do that before. She is also more likely to stay right next to me on the sofa. The cat she used to jump on, she no longer does. My take on it is this. After all her long hair was cut off, she realized how small and vulnerable she is.
My hope is that you can help us. What are your thoughts?

Our doodle Brody was 7 months old when he got his first "real" groom. We had him shaved down for the warmer weather. He didn't have quite the same changes as your puppy but he did change A LOT. He never used to like to cuddle with us and now he LOVES it. He now loves to be pet  and is a lot more happier. It def does change their personality, not really sure why. I just think our dog was miserable with that much fur and when we shaved him down he felt liberated lol I'm sure once your dog gets used to the new coat she will be fine!
