The mini's seem to reach their full size much younger than the standards. I keep waiting and watching Kona to see which side he's going to take after. (His mom is a 40 pound medium and his dad is and 18 pound mini)
Maggie is 10 months old and about 42 lbs. Our breeder said she would be about 35-50 lbs full-grown and I'm assuming she's alomost full-grown by now. Her dad is a 70 lb English Retriever and her Mother is a 24 lb. Moyen Poodle.
Xander is a mini goldendoodle:
8 weeks: 2.7lbs
10 weeks: 5.3 lbs
12 weeks: 7.5 lbs
14 weeks: 10 lbs
It is amazing how much he has changed in just 1 month! At first he had tiny legs and everything else was proportionate. Now his tail and feet are starting to really grow. Breeder said about 30lbs, but from what I gather here, anything could happen.
Has anyone noticed wobbly front legs when sitting (@ ~13/14 weeks)? A friend said that he may be having growing pains, and that I shouldn't worry about it.
Kevin, I don't remember Ned having wobbly legs at 13-14 weeks but perhaps my definition and yours wouldn't be the same????
At ~16 weeks he is 16.7lbs - that is just over 6x his weight at 8 weeks. Really incredible how fast they grow.
Popeye is adorable! And yes....he looks like a full grown 25 pound mini in that photo. Kona's good adult weight is 25 pounds. He had a 2 month round of prednisone last fall where he gained 5 pounds in 2 months, so he is a little overweight at 30 pounds right now. I hope he gets back down to 25 lbs where he was for over 18 months, but he doesn't seem to notice or slow down at all with his zooming. This photo of Kona is just a few weeks old, so he is 30 pounds in this photo. He is a love bug and MUST melt on us as soon as we sit down.
