At what age does this happen? And to what extent?

Just like with everything else about doodles, it all just depends on your particular doodle.  Some start fairly early and others not until like a year.  I would say generally from 8-14 months as a ballpark.  Some will make a pretty dramatic change and others you won't even really notice.  The good news is they are all adorable regardless!  Go to the From Pup to Adult group and look at some of the pictures and you will see some of the changes.

My ADL started at 11 months and had really bad matting of the baby hair into his adult coat.  He is very short now, but still soft and adorable.  As Lucy & AnnaBelle's Mom states-it is so variable!
