Surprise!

We will be bringing home our first puppy, a black and white F1B Goldendoodle, in two weeks. We have decided to keep it a secret from our kids so we can surprise hem. Do any of you have any fun stories of how you managed to surprise loved ones/family members with a doodle?

There is a story on here somewhere of a guy who bought a doodle for his girlfriend and it came complete with a diamond engagement ring. It was a very elaborate set up.  Can't remember the name though ... FYI, since there was a doodle involved, of course she said yes!

No surprise at our house - I was so excited about getting a doodle that pretty much the whole world had to listen to me go on and on and on and.......and they still do.

I'm with you on that one Marnie!  My DH and I were going to keep it a secret and surprise our family and made a promise to each other not to tell anyone until she joined our family.  Oops, the minute we put the deposit down this "DM" told anyone I came into contact with, family, neighbors, friends, strangers, etc:)

How fun for your children!  Take a movie and lots of pictures!  Maybe a friend could be your photographer so you get to really enjoy the whole moment.

We went to pick out our puppy last weekend, and we brought the kids, but told them we were visiting a "puppy petting zoo"! too funny. I told the owner ahead of time, so she played right along with us...they were clueless :)

We had decided a while ago that we wanted a girl, but I was a little nervous because this litter ended up being only 2 females and 8 males. I was afraid neither of the 2 girls would be a good fit, but as it turned out we immediately became attached to one of the girls and I think she's going to fit right in!

We have a 7 year old boy, and 3 year old boy and a 10 month old girl. The 7 year old and the baby are IN LOVE! The 3 year old is not a fan....yet. When we decided on the one we wanted, the owner put a red collar on her. my oldest kept saying, "the one in the red collar likes me the best"! I'm excited to see his face when we surprise him with "the one with the red collar" :)

Here she is! Meet Florence. The boys were thrilled and so surprised! Now the "fun" begins!
