Chopper had an assplosion while I was running errands today. Only gone 2.5hrs I came home to poop splattered walls, chair, crate, carpet and water bowl! Chopper was soaked in his poop from his ears to his paws. He literally was dripping poop. :O

First I had to lay towels on the floor to the porch and take him outside. He jumped up and put 2 poopy paw prints on my shorts then once I had him tied outside to bathe him he shook showering me with more poop. :'O Waaa!!! Gross!!!!!
Luckily my husband came home early to help and just laughed at the situation because  I was about to call it a total loss, burn the whole house down then call animal control to come get the stray dog in my yard but he has a microchip and they just would have brought the little pooper right back. :/
We had to take apart the crate which is one of those fancy covered crates : http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003XMW5SM/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_... that had poop on every inch because he was scratching at the door latches trying to get out sending poop flying  in every direction. How could there be so much poop??!!
Next we steam cleaned the carpet and my chair, showered and then drank heavily...ok j/k on the last part.
Chopper seems fine now. No idea what he got into or if he was just upset that he was put in his crate and abandoned. This was not the first time I put him in there for that long. Other than barking he never had any issues in there before. :S Goodtimes!

Oh no!!!! I am so sorry to hear this ... and I know that we can all relate to those days when our pups are being tyrants and we wonder what we've signed up for.

Hopefully having a group of us to commiserate with helps to ease the pain ... a little bit ... but I can just picture the smell. Oh boy. Hang in there!

It does help! Thanks :) I'm still on the fence about burning the house down.
Actually the house is back in order and smells normal again. Thankfully we have a carpet steam cleaner. I just need to get the horror out of my mind. Never in my life have I seen such a mess and I grew up with horses. :S

Oh my gosh! What a story! I'm so sorry! About five years ago I came home (after a VERY long day) to a similar situation...it was EVERYWHERE so I feel your pain. I'm not sure the crate was ever the same. Once you know that they are ok, you can't do much other than laugh. And threaten to drop them off at the fire station. :0)

Exactly! ;)

Wow!  I so love how you kept your sense of humor through it all!  Your colorful post was so funny.  Thank you for the laughs.  Anyway, thank goodness DH was able to help.  I so hope it never happens again.  Ugh, what a mess!

Well Kimberly....sure sorry to hear this happened to you.  BUT...you did start my day off with a laugh!  :)

What a scene to come home to! I am so sorry but your description of the scene started my day off with a good laugh! I am happy to hear things are back to normal and you are no longer smelling toxic fumes! I am also glad Chopper still has a home!

Oh my, I'm sorry you had such a sh****y day and in situations like this it's either laugh or cry, and while either one will help there is still all that miss to clean up. It's a good thing these little stinkers are so cute because it sure helps. I sincerely hope for your sake that this was a one time deal, wishing you cleaner better smelling days ahead. I wonder if it's times like these that was responsible for the phrase 'sh** happens' being coined.

I think this was worse. At least there the odds of it being splattered everywhere from a dog shacking it's coat are slim, no? /:)

Shaking not shacking.

HA HA HA HA  OH MY GOITER WHAT A MESS!!!   I know, I know, it's only funny when it happens to someone else but.....

Glad everything is back to lemony fresh normal and keep that steam cleaner handy.  Thanks for the giggle!

Holy CRAP - I laughed so frickin hard at your description that I almost needed to clean myself up!  Brandy, our 10 yr first gen labradoodle had a sensitive digestive system and had diarrhea quite a bit.  Luckily I didn't have to clean it up because she did it during the day for our poor pet sitter.  We have the opposite problem with our little 12 week old labradoodle Bella.  She is chairwoman of the "clean up my own poop" committee and the evidence gets eaten as many times as she can get away with it.  We could rent her out to you for a small fee.......
