Wavy Coat Experience?

My boy, Finn, is 5.5 months and has a wavy coat. Is there anyone out there with a wavy coated Goldendoodle who can tell me what to expect when the adult fur comes in? Right now it's not a problem at all. Some shedding but no mats. I'm just wondering if the adult coat will be different from the puppy coat.

My Monty has the same type coat.....very little shedding (until recently... he is shedding his puppy coat right now, but still no major changes), soft, wavy and absolutely no mats.  He is 9 months old today and his coat has not changed at all yet.  It has only gotten longer and more beautiful.  Clearly he has more Golden in him, so maybe Finns coat will also not change too much.

Good to hear that there have been no major changes in his coat. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we don't have to experience the matting problems that curly coats do. Thanks for the info.

Griffin is 4 months and his back and belly are wavy. Legs and head are more fluff.  He is shedding for sure but I'm not sure if that is puppy coat or normal shedding!
He is definitely NOT curly like many other pups his age ( from pics I see here)

It sounds like Finn & Griffin are the same coat. Finn is wavy on a wide stripe down his back and cotton soft fluff underneath. So soft. And his waves are gorgeous. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't change.

Lucas also has a wide, darker stripe down his back. He is wavy as well, just reaching 9 mos. old. I have noticed that his shedding has decreased quite a bit lately. I think he is now on his adult coat. Not really sure, but he is still soft, doesn't mat and is easily brushed.

By the looks of the pictures...it seems that Monty is in the "Wavy Coat Clan" with all three of your boys!  I did not have the honor of knowing Monty before he was 4 months old, so I love looking at the younger pictures to see what he more than likely did look like.  Griffin especially looks like Monty when I got him.  They are all three beautiful and it will be fun to watch them grow and compare along the way.

They all look like brothers. Here are some pictures of Finn as a younger youngster. He's 5.5 months now and 40 lbs. Thinking he'll get to 70-80 lbs. Are all these other pups standard size?

How cute is he........I dont even remember lucas being that young! I do remember calling him "bamboo" cause it seemed as though he would grow over night, every night for a while. Lucas is now 71 lbs. at almost 9 mos. I am thinking he will get to be around 80. Who knows????

Cuuute! Griffin was 31lbs on his 4mo birthday. I think he's gonna be 70-80 as well.

Monty was 34 lbs on his 4 month birthday, so it sounds like they will end up about the same size.

I think Lucas may be Griffin and Finn's future :-)  Will try to attach two pics - one of his back and one of his head/front paws (no face b/c he would NOT look at me due to interest in the stick ;-)
