Charlie has had one seizure in February of 2011. Nothing since then. For the past few days he has been doing this strange thing. He will be laying down, not sure if he is sleeping or just resting as he has always been in a different room. All of a sudden I will hear him jump up frantically and I hear sounds like him running in place (think of a cartoon where the character tries to run but doesn't go anywhere). By the time I get to him he is just standing still staring at me. He has done this about 7 or 8 times in the last 2 or 3 days. He also is healing from a pulled muscle in his back thigh so not sure if maybe he is in pain from that? I have a call in to his vet but won't hear back from her until tomorrow. Has anyone had something like this happen and if so, do you know what the cause is? Thanks for any help!

Just wondering if you got any answers on this? It sure does sound like seizure-like activity to me - but the pulled muscle complicates the diagnosis - I would think. So just curious if the vet was able to give you any answers?
Hi Priscilla. We really don't have any answers yet on this. Charlie was banished to 3 weeks of inactivity to see if his leg would get better on its own. His 3 weeks were up last week and his leg seems to be doing better. He went to day care last week and played all day. Then the past few days I have noticed when he was laying on the floor all of a sudden jump up and move a few steps and change positions. Nothing as drastic as before but not sure if it is related or not. The vet wants me to just keep watching him for now and take a video of it happening if I can. But these most recent ones only last about 5 seconds and I can't tell when they are coming so haven't been able to yet. We still aren't sure if it is muscle related or seizure related. At least they are all very small so not too concerned yet. Thanks for asking about Charlie!
