Monty and Auggie were playing in the backyard yesterday evening while I was trying to take some pictures of them. There is not much green grass left in our backyard, so when Monty rolls, all sorts of stuff gets into his coat. As they were playing, suddenly Monty started sneezing like crazy. I mean, at least 10 sneezes in a row. He would cringe his nose to the right before the sneeze. I tried looking in his nose to see if there is something in there that is tickling him, but could not see deep enough. He ran inside to lay down. Later on he sneezed for a couple of time during the evening.
This morning I took them to a dog park and he did not sneeze while he was running around. In the afternoon, he started barking at our neighbor dogs across the fence (he does not like one of the dogs that growls). After a few barks he had a sneezing fit again. Again, moving his nose to the right side.
A few minutes ago we had a tornado warning in the area, the sirens were sounding and a recorded voice announced the warning. Both dogs started barking at the voice, and after a few barks, Monty had about 6 sneezes in a row.
How can I help him? Is it possible that he has something stuck in his nose that is bugging him? I don't think it's allergies since this just started last evening and I think he would be itching and scratching with allergies. What should I do? Just wait and see if he finally gets the "thing" out of his nose?

Poor Monty, I really hope it is something easily fixed, good luck at the vet tomorrow.
He has not sneezed the whole afternoon. We even went to a park and he chased a ball. No foxtails in the backyard, but it could have been one of those prickly seeds. Although I try to keep the grass away from the backyard, they are all over the place. I always have to comb his hair after a walk to pull them out. I hope that's not it.
The tornado was by the airport, we are about 15 minutes away by car. I did not see anything, but we sure had our first tornado alarm.
Good luck at the vet tomorrow!!
I'd bet money that he had something in his nose. Hopefully he sneezes it out himself.
Good luck at the Vet Monty!!!!
Well, Monty has not sneezed ever since I called the vet yesterday. He acts completely normal, runs in the park and plays. I called the vet and canceled the appointment. He is due for a yearly check up and some vaccinations in a couple of weeks so the vet will see him them. In the meantime, I will be watching him like a hawk. Thanks all for your support.
That's good news, Jarka.
I hope so. I sure hope that whatever it was, did not get further in his nose or somewhere.
LOL, I was thinking the same thing Bonnie~
Jarka, I'm glad the sneezing has stopped and hope it stays that way!
