Hi there!

We were in a dog store the other day and saw a doggie water dispenser (similar to this one: http://www.amazon.com/Lixit-Corporation-DLX0686-Top-Fill-44-Ounce/d...)

Just wondering if anyone has had experience with these kinds of water drippers. We're looking for a way to provide Ollie with fresh water at all times, without him having the ability to pick up the bowl and dump water everywhere (his favorite game!).

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I have a different version of Lixit bottle. One dog uses it, the other doesn't.

Emma uses one too.  I like it because her beard doesn't get as wet as with a bowl.

I use a metal bucket and hang it in the crate and in the outside kennel. That stopped Shaggy from carrying it away and "swimming" in it :-o

We use the Buddy Bowl because our guys play in their water bowls if given the chance.

We used to use these too.  We don't any more because Rosco has long ago outgrown his desire to play in the water and they are a major pain to open up and clean...and if you don't do it often enough it gets pretty icky inside.  But Buddy Bowls do make fabulous travel water dishes because they can be right next to the dog in the car and if they tip over there's no wet mess.

I have a 2 gallon jug that sit upside down in the dish that constantly fills when the water is lapped up.  Its along the lines of the water coolers you see around but without the spout.  I love it.. when the doodles are outside for a long time I will fill it with 1/2 ice and 1/2 water.
