My mini goldendoodle is 1 year old and has a fair amount of tartar on her back molars. I brush her teeth daily but it does not seem to help. Does anyone use a product to help clean the teeth and get rid of tartar that really works? Thanks Marcey

Several DK members use PetzLife gel.  Here is a link to a dental discussion.

I have been brushing my dogs' teeth with a mix I make from hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and doggie tooth paste.  Once they get used to it, no problem brushing their teeth.  They kind of like the battery driven toothbrushes and I kind of link my finger behind the lip and pull it back to get to the back teeth.  I started doing this after my Groucho Too had his teeth cleaned at the vet when he had another little surgery and had a terrible reaction to the anesthetic.

Riley had a little tartar on his canines a few months ago and I got the Petzlife after trying all the toothpastes from the vets and it has worked a treat. No tartar now at all.
