FHO Surgery (Femoral Head Ostectomy)
Has anyone's doodle had to have FHO surgery? My Goldendoodle Dazi is almost 7 months old and has been having trouble. I took her to the vet and the Dr did xrays and she has severe hip dyplasia. She is having FHO surgery on the right hip wednesday. The surgeon says this is the best thing for her instead of a full hip replacement. She is in a lot of pain and I hope this is going to help her. She will have the left side done after she has healed up from the right side. I sick with worry and wondering if anyone else has gone through this and how is the recovery for them. I hate this for my baby. I cant stand to see her in pain.

Bev's Willy had hip dysplasia on both sides. Her breeder gave her a full refund and said she would not breed the dogs again.

Jennifer, I think you should wait and see if Jennifer can persuade her to do the right thing. If she thinks it's already out there, why should she? I would delete the comment.

yes please delete that comment on her Facebook page. I will do what I need to do and take care of this. My first priority is getting Dazi thru her first surgery. I am going to print the webpage and start keeping records like suggested. My vet has already told me she has the xrays on a dvd for me and will write a letter. I will fight this for all the babies and try to keep this from happening again.

Really i am the last one to ask....Karen and Joanne are hero's who rescue and save dogs all the time....While I have always been quick to speak.....I have never been so passionate about something ever in my life....who would have thought five years ago I didn't even like dogs....now I will fight for them with every breathe I have and honestly ....I am a total rookie......my neighborhood has a lot of animals mistreated and I have lost friends over that...me the people pleaser that will,lose sleep if i even thought someone was mad at me.....but I swear something comes over me now and i want these precious loyal babies to have a voice and be heard...
You are way better off listening to people who have been down this road....but if you need a mouth....I am in!!!! LOL
Thank God you got this sweetie. So many people would have dumped her in a shelter or rehoused her.

I am so glad I got this baby, I love her so much. I will fight this for all those babies. I just read the paper again about the guarantee and everything in it says if anything happens that a replacement puppy would be given, not a refund. I WOULD NEVER GIVE UP THIS BABY! But I am going to fight it and see what happens. If nothing else we save other puppy's from this happening just like Karen said. The animals in the world are lucky to have you speaking for them and for Karen and Joanne for saving them.
AND.... I'm still calling you if I need a speaker :)
