Will not stay outside in yard without me there
Hello Everyone, Hopefully, someone has some tips for this issue. Breezy is 10 1/2 months old, it is just she and I with intermittent friends to give her attention. She is very well socialized with dogs and people. Had a doggie dog put in for her and taped the flaps up. She freely went in and out without me it and worked well. Then the heat came here in the desert and AC on, flap down. Now she will go in and out the doggie door with flap down only if I go too. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank You

I am guessing that it is just too darn hot for her to go outside. She only goes out when you do because you are her pack and she wants to be with you. Otherwise, there is no reason to go outside. My big 6 year old Doodle basically is only outside when one of us is out there or if she is at the driveway gate waiting for Poppa to come home! She has full access with a doggie door as well. They know when they have it made with A/C on inside!
