Apparently something is going on with Millie.  She didn't want to go outside this morning, and she threw up in her crate.  This is the first time she's ever thrown up that I've known about.  Now, she's refusing to eat too.   Do I call the vet right away, or give her some time?  Any suggestions or ideas?

And FWIW, I'm pretty sure she didn't eat anything she shouldn't have last night.

Could she have eaten stuffing from or part of a toy?

Baker will be lethargic & not eat & later will throw up a strings/junk from toys.  Almost like a cat's hairball.

Why don't you call the vet & make a tentative appointment for middle/end of the day...if she gets rid of whatever is bothering her, you can cancel it.  Otherwise, she can be hopefully seen today if nothing improves.

Keeping good thoughts and hoping for good news.

UPDATE:

I just got back from the vet a bit ago.  The good news is the vet thinks it's viral and didn't feel any kind of blockage.  Of course Millie was all hyper and so excited to be in there.  Good grief.  After she didn't move all day long at home!  She goes there and acts normal.  Afterwards though, she plopped down on the floor in the vet's office too.  Anyway, they gave her some fluids, and they gave her a shot of anti-nausea medicine.  They said if she does not get better to call, and they will then think about blood-work and x-rays as a next step.  At this time, she didn't think it was necessary for either one of those though.

So, a big relief, but I'll feel better when she's eating and drinking again.  She went straight to her crate when we got home and laid down in there.  She NEVER goes in there on her own unless it's bedtime, and she knows she's getting her bedtime treats.  I also bought a couple of cans of food  from the vet to give her tonight and in the morning.  They said the anti-nausea meds should start working in about an hour.  Then, I am to feed her.
So, here's hoping she's right and it's only viral.  We'll see what the rest of the night and tomorrow brings!

Good news!

Good news indeed.

Good news - keep us posted!

How is Millie doing this morning?  I hope the night went well and she is eating this morning.  Isn't that the law of averages when you go to a doctor, whether it is a human doctor or a vet.  After telling them she was not herself, she bounces around like nothing is wrong.  Go figure!  Hope to hear good news today:)

It's always worrisome when our pets show signs of being unwell.  It is heartbreaking to see them this way and to know if their tummies are just upset or something more serious.  Trust your intuition...you will know when it's time to make a trip to the vets...Thinking of you Darcy and hope Millie feels better real soon!

Thank you everyone!!!  Millie still isn't eating quite normal yet, but she's acting herself.  So, I'm assuming it wil ljust take her a bit to get back into the swing of things completely.  She ate just 1/3 of her regular amount yesterday.  Hopefully today will be more.  Her bouncy and craziness is back full swing, so she must be feeling well, just maybe not her regular appetite yet?
