Weight Up-Date vol.2

Looks like we lost the weight up-date discussion some how.
I enjoyed checking into it every now and then, so I decided to make a vol. 2.
Charlie was 13.7lb @ 10 1/2 wks, 19.7lb @ 15wks, 22.3 lb @ 16 wks, 30lb @ 23 wks, and now 35lb @ 27 wks.

There were 2 different scales used during these measurements, about 1 lb off... so all weights are give and take 1 lb.  Xander is 24.5 weeks old and 31 lbs.  He is a mini goldendoodle.  The breeder though that he would max out at 30.  Looks like we are moving on up!

7 months-52lbs and 23in. At the shoulder.

When do they slow down or stop growing?

It looks like you have yourself a large standard on your hands.  Miniatures stop growing much earlier.  Kona stopped growing at about 7 months at 24 pounds.  He is 11 months old tomorrow and bounces between 23.5 pounds and 25 pounds depending on his play time! 

 

But my nieces's large GD standard was 90 pounds at 9 months old, and 120 pouunds at 18 months.  I'm not sure when he reached 120 pounds, but it was likely around 12 to 14 months old.  Both of Dash's parents were 95 pounds, so look at your doodle's parents.  If they are both huge, your dood could still surpass them.

My Charlie never got any bigger nor heavier since she was about 7 ~ 8  months old. She stayed about 42 lb through out. ( She is now 4 1/2 years old.) She recently gained a couple of pounds only because she was injured and was not permitted to run. My puppy Pinot Grigio is 13 months old, and I think he is pretty much done as well..

This type of thread was exactly what I was looking for! Wanted to try and get a comparison to other pups.
Enzo was 7.3 when we brought her home at 8 weeks
11 weeks-13.5
12 weeks-14.8

How big were Enzo's parents?  I'm guessing he's going to be a standard sized doodle?  Oliver is only a week younger than Enzo, supposed to be a medium doodle, and is definitely behind on the weight compared to Enzo.  We're expecting around 30lbs based on the online estimates.

11 weeks: 10.5

12 weeks: 12

14 weeks: 14.5

Mom was around the 50lb range, with Dad being ,maybe close to 80. She was the largest female in her litter. We're guesstimating 60-65lbs. Time will tell! ;)

We don't have our puppy yet, he is just under 4lbs at 5 weeks.  I am wondering though, his parents are 50 and 55lbs, I am hoping he will be about that size.  For those of you with 80lb plus Doodles, were their parents huge too?

I have two little ones.  Kona's mom is 40 pounds and his dad is 20 pounds.  Kona is 24 pounds.  My niece has a huge one....Dash is 120 pounds.  His parents were both 95 pounds, so he exceeded both of them.  My little guy was predicted to be 30 to 35, but he ended up taking after his dad (which is fine by me.  Much easier to lift and carry around with one arm when needed!)

My niece's 120 pound doodle had parents that were both 95 pounds.  I would call all of them larger than average for standards.
